Geoff grew up playing his minor hockey in northern British Columbia. Before moving to Alberta for University, Geoff played five years in the Western Hockey League. While in the Western Hockey League, Geoff was the Captain of the Prince George Cougars and also the Western Hockey League All-Star MVP. After junior, Geoff played professional hockey in Germany for two seasons. Geoff then attended the
University of Alberta as a student athlete, playing hockey for the Alberta Golden Bears and completing a Bachelor degree in Recreation. Geoff has been coaching players for the past 10 years specializing in elite skill development. Geoff started his own hockey company "1st Line Power Skating" and has never looked back; his commitment to skill development has helped many players reach their hockey goals.
Currently 1st Line Power Skating is working with the following groups (Skill Development, Power Skating, and Checking Camps) Portage Voyageurs College (ACAC); Whitemud West Hockey Association;
Confederation Hockey Association; Millet Minor Ho
